Welcome to the Eyal Kopelis Gallery.
Kopelis shares extraordinary vision and technical skill with the design community in creating fine art elements for a diverse array of custom projects. From residential to commercial, his creations grace a variety of unique spaces such as hotels, villa, luxury apartments and some of the most famous buildings in the world, such as the Israeli Consulate in New York, and the well known Dan Hotel Eilat in Israel.
Eyal creates each piece to enhance the harmony of its materials yielding singular sculptural works of art, each one signed by the artist.
Starting from the ground up - in harmony with nature.
Kopelis’ sensuous creations are influenced by the organic environment, its scenery, the Earth, and the sea. Most of the works start from the basic natural materials – stone, wood, and metals, which develop a natural sheen over time. The tactile, engaging forms and combinations of materials intensify the spaces they inhabit with added light and warmth.
Eyal selects stones from diverse regions in the holy land … such as basalt, jepthah stone, and other regional stone from Hebron, the Negev, Eilat, Jerusalem and other parts of the holy land. Each stone is worked according to its character, showing its best advantage, its texture, color, and size.
To complete the special beauty, Eyal models various acrylic resins – each different in character but equally strong. The result is an exciting composition of color, ranging from ocean blue through lava black, reds and oranges evoking flowers, fire and other natural phenomena.
From form to function.
